a huntington beach, Ohio
film session with Michael + aliyah
There's something enduring about the shoreline at Huntington Beach in Bay Village, Ohio. The breeze off Lake Erie, the soft lull of the waves, and that golden, flickering light at sunset - Michael & Aliyah's session felt like it was pulled from a dream.
I feel honored when a couple comes along that you just click with from the first conversation. We connected on a Facebook group, and from those DM's, I knew they would be something special- laid-back, authentic, and full of soul.

Michael & Aliyah leaned into the simplicity of it all.
Wrapped in embraces as the breeze tousled their hair. As you scroll, my hope is for you to feel. Here are a few of my favorite frames from their session- each one a quiet reminder that the best moments don't always need perfect direction.
They just need to be felt.

M +A
warmth & connection
The way they laughed together, held hands like they always had, and just were- it reminded me why I love documenting couples on film. Nothing forced. Nothing overly perfect. Just real moments, captured in a medium that honors their texture and depth.
Before the session began, Aliyah & Michael decided they wanted to go all out exclusively film. Her love for film photography created a space where I could create, releasing me completely to the art. There is nothing more amazing when couples fully submerse to the experience & trust the process.
Not one digital shot was taken. In taking the risk, they were rewarded with the most beautiful, intentional, and heartfelt photos. I cried happy tears images hit my inbox from the film lab!

Michael & Aniyah, thank you for trusting me to tell a little piece of your story. You two are the kind of people that make this work feel less like a job and more like a gift.
